4-SalishCliffs
Salish Cliffs wasn’t in our bracket last year — at the time just entering its first full season, we felt that not enough golfers had played it to give it a fair chance against better-known tracks.

In the 18 months since, they have. And boy, do they love it.

Cascade Golfer readers ranked Salish Cliffs No. 1 among the courses they were most looking forward to playing in 2013, and the reviews of Gene Bates’ first Northwest design since Circling Raven have been unanimously positive. Salish Cliffs has everything a golfer could want in a top-tier course — holes that reward aggressive play, and others where caution is more prudent, fun par-3s and par-5s, fabulous conditioning and perhaps the most beautiful bunkers in the state.

Like Wine Valley before it, Salish Cliffs is bound to rise in the rankings as more golfers make the short drive around the south Sound to play it. The only question is how high it can go.
