3-WineValley

When Wine Valley placed third in our 2013 rankings, we speculated that as more golfers made the trip across the state, its ranking would only improve.

We were right — on average, golfers ranked Wine Valley higher in 2015 than two years prior, moving it past 2013 runner-up Gold Mountain (Olympic) and closer to defending champion Chambers Bay. We just didn’t count on Gamble Sands crashing the party.

It’s clear from this year’s top-three, though, that Washington golfers are taking to links golf the way Washington wine lovers pine for their Cabs and Syrahs. And just as how no two bottles of a L’Ecole No.41 Cab will taste exactly the same, you could play Wine Valley every day for a week and never hit the same shot twice.

If you want the fun and ingenuity of Chambers Bay, with the conditioning of Tumble Creek, then Wine Valley is your course. And if you don’t … well, that’s one more open tee time for the rest of us.
