No Car? That’s Harley A Problem

“I like riding my Harley, and I like playing golf,” says Johnny Humphreys, founder of Washington-based Bike n’ Golf. “One day it was beautiful outside and I wanted to do both, so I thought, ‘Why choose? There has to be a way I can do both.’”
Such was the genesis for Bike n’ Golf, an astoundingly simple invention that has become a sensation at golf shows and motorcycle shows throughout the nation since its initial public launch in January.
Indeed, the product promises to revolutionize the way millions of motorcycle-bound golfers travel to and from the course. Humphreys says years of trying to figure out how to strap his standard golf bag to his Harley Davidson Wide Glide, while ensuring his own safety as a rider and those of the clubs in the bag, led him to consider a split-bag system that would equally distribute the weight of the clubs on both sides of the bike.
The result was a ingenious creation that is both an on-course quality golf bag and convenient bike-side travel bag in one. Bike n’ Golf’s bag is really three bags, one that attaches to the center of the bike, and two others that attach to the sides. Clubs are distributed between the two side bags, while balls, gloves, shoes and other accessories are placed in the center bag. Upon reaching the course, golfers undo two snaps and four bungees to remove the three bags from the bike, then re-snap them together to create a terrific-looking, fully-functional one-piece bag to take out on the course.
“We went through a lot of prototypes to find a final product that was easy-to-use, durable and adaptable to just about any bike or scooter,” Humphreys says.
Bike n’ Golf’s lineup currently includes six different bag styles in two colors, including a black-and-silver combo, and camouflage. The system, which retails for $295, can also be used to carry hunting, fishing or camping equipment and has been tested in all weather conditions at speeds up to 80 miles per hour, making it truly a year-round investment.
