Experience Camaloch Community

Mix a prominent golf course architect, half the rainfall the Puget Sound sees and people that volunteer to keep their treasured grounds neat and tidy, and you get Camano Island’s Camaloch Golf Course. Located in western Washington’s sun belt, only 15 minutes off I-5 and accessible by car (no ferry needed), Camaloch is not just an easy-to-walk, well-maintained 18-hole, par 72 course — it’s also a way of life for some locals. Volunteers regularly work on the course installing more drainage, doing carpentry, painting and whatever else is needed. In 1967, a local association was formed to put together a 9-hole course and in 1991, Camaloch opened a second nine designed by Bill Overdorf, a nationally known expert in Northwest course design. This close-knit community lives, works and plays together and they warmly welcome all golfers to play this entertaining 6,262-yard public course. Fees range between $22-$34, with specials running regularly. For more information, visit camalochgolf.com.
